MTech Admission | GATE 2026
MTech and MS (by Research) admissions at IIT Kanpur are based on GATE 2026 scores followed by a written test and personal interview conducted by the institute. Techkriti | Asia's Largest Student-Run Technical Festival
Techkriti is IIT Kanpur's annual techno-management festival | widely regarded as one of the largest and most prestigious student-run events in Asia. Held every year in March, Techkriti draws over 100,000 participants from colleges across India and internationally. The festival features robotics competitions, coding hackathons, lectures by Nobel laureates and industry leaders, design challenges, and entrepreneurship summits. The 2026 edition saw participation from 2,000+ colleges and prize money of ₹1 crore+. Antar Agni is IIT Kanpur's cultural festival held in October, equally celebrated for its scale and celebrity performances.
