What courses are covered under Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST?+
All post-matric level courses are covered: Class 11 & 12, ITI/Polytechnic diploma, bachelor's degrees (BA/BCom/BTech/MBBS etc.), master's degrees (MA/MTech/MBA etc.), PhD, and professional courses (CA/ICWA/CS). The course must be at a government-recognised institution.
What is the income limit for SC Post-Matric Scholarship?+
The family income limit for SC Post-Matric Scholarship is ₹2.5 lakh per year. For ST Post-Matric Scholarship, the income limit is also ₹2.5 lakh per year. Income certificate must be issued by Tahsildar, SDM, or equivalent competent authority for the current financial year.
Can I apply if my college is a private institution?+
Yes. SC/ST Post-Matric Scholarship is available for students at both government and private institutions, provided the institution is recognised by UGC/AICTE/NMC/BCI or the relevant statutory body. However, private unaided institutions must be listed and verified on the NSP portal.
